Amy Hume

Following training with Kristin Linklater in New York and at KLVC in Orkney, Amy completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Voice Studies at Victoria College of the Arts (VCA) at The University of Melbourne. She's now returned to VCA as Lecturer in Theatre (Voice). Previously she was voice teacher to BFA and MFA students at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), voice and accents tutor at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), and Founder of Sydney speech and drama studio, Viva Voice.

Amy was voice and dialect coach on the 10th Anniversary Australian Tour of Billy Elliot the Musical, Fangirls (Queensland Theatre/Belvoir), White Pearl (Sydney Theatre Co), Counting and Cracking (Belvoir/Sydney Festival/Adelaide Festival), Black Cocktaoo, Fully Committed, Folk, Shirley Valentine, The Norman Conquests, The Kitchen Sink (Ensemble Theatre), Sami in Paradise (Belvoir), Measure for Measure, The Servant of Two Masters (Sport for Jove), and the Sydney production of Matilda the Musical (RSC/Louise Withers). Television credits include New Gold Mountain (Goalpost Productions for SBS), The Unlisted (ABC/Netflix) and The Secrets She Keeps (Lingo Pictures for Channel Ten). Amy also facilitates voice and communication training for individuals organisations across different industries.
