Claudia Anderson

Claudia Anderson is a Professor Emerita of The Theatre School, DePaul University, Chicago, recently retiring from full-time teaching after 45 years. She was designated as a Linklater Voice Teacher in 1991, and is passionate about helping to train and work with voice teachers as well as actors and singers. She has studied traditional song, song-leading, and Acting and Singing the Archetypes with Frankie Armstrong. As a singer/songwriter/actor, she sings Irish, Scots, English, and American folk songs from the woman's perspective, looking to align mythology, ancestry, and heritage with her own stories. A founding member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association, she directed the international VASTA conference in 2016, and served on the Board in the early 1990's.
