GET IN TOUCH WITH Deborah
Deborah (Deb) Deb teaches voice, singing and accent work and production support on the MA/MFA Voice Studies; BA Acting (Collaborative and Devised Theatre) and MA Music Theatre programmes at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (RCSSD). She also runs a private practice offering voice, singing and accent softening coaching.
She trained as an actor and singer, subsequently working in West End, repertory theatre and radio. She returned to study to complete a music degree in the early 90’s and then spent ten years working as a singing coach before embarking on the MA Voice Studies programme at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (RCSSD). This reawakened her love of spoken text and extended her skills and understanding of voice. It also provided a springboard for her to teach both spoken and sung voice and the areas in between which is part of an ongoing enquiry!
Deb is a composer with a particular interest in writing music for the stage.
She’s a member of Equity, British Voice Association and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association.
