Natalie McManus

Natalie McManus, MA, CCC-SLP, DLT, became a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher in 2003.  She is also a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (BS, Penn State Univ. and MA, Univ. of Iowa), a Certified Forensics (Public Speaking) Coach, and an award-winning Actor.  Natalie works with individual clients and with groups, always tailoring the work to the needs of the client(s). Clients include actors, professionals, and anyone wishing to improve their speaking voice and presentation skills.

Her teaching history includes teaching the introductory and advanced Linklater Voice work at George Mason University for nine years; numerous multi-week classes for various theatre groups; and one day workshops for academic groups who wish to improve their public speaking skills. For the past decade she has been consulting with the NIH National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute fellows, helping them prepare for their scientific research presentations at their national conference.

She is a member of VASTA, ASHA, the National Forensics League, and Toastmasters.  Natalie volunteers as a reader for The Washington Ear, a news service for the blind in Silver Spring, MD, and is one of the founding members of the Peace Mountain Theatre Company, in Potomac, MD.  She is a regular performer at several Maryland area theatres.
