Paul Ricciardi

Paul Ricciardi received his MFA in Acting from Trinity Repertory Company and has studied with Kristin Linklater and other master Linklater Teachers including Andrea Haring, Dennis Krausnick, Louis Colaianni, and Natsuko Ohama.  He received his Linklater Teacher Designation in 2012.  Paul is an actor, director, solo performer, and voice/speech/dialect coach.  He is part of the leadership team at the Ancram Opera House, an intimate rural professional theatre in the Hudson Valley of New York.  As an award-winning solo-performer, Paul has staged his 1-man shows in theaters, colleges, and festivals across the northeast US and abroad.  Recent work as an actor includes Playhouse Creatures’ New Play Festival, Hamlet with Saratoga Shakespeare Festival, Lovesong at Chester Theatre Company, and many others. Paul has designed dialects for countless college theatre productions, as well as for professional theaters including Stageworks, WAM, America-in-Play, Playhouse Creatures, and others.  Paul is an Associate Professor of Acting and Voice at the City University of New York/Kingsborough Community College.  Formerly, he was on the theatre faculty of Siena College, University at Albany and Rhode Island College.  He is Immediate Past Co-Chair for Region I of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, and is a recipient of the Kennedy Center National Teaching Artist Award and a Kennedy Center Gold Medallion.
