Ruth Rootberg

Ruth Rootberg was designated by Kristin Linklater in 2003. Since then, she has taught voice at the Theatre School of DePaul and the Yale School of Drama.

Ruth also became a Laban Movement Analyst (CMA) in 2000 and then trained as a Certified Alexander Technique Teacher, (M.AmSAT, 2003).

Ruth has presented voice and movement workshops at the Voice Foundation, Alexander conferences, ATHE, SAPVAME (South Africa), and has been a guest at music, dance, and theatre departments nationwide. She taught the Linklater progression at Mt. Holyoke College 2013–2014.

Currently, Ruth has a private practice in the Alexander Technique in Amherst, Massachusetts and offers Linklater online to Alexander Technique teachers.
