A Linklater voice teacher since 2012, Chris currently teaches voice to actors in the conservatory program at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne. Since being designated she has also developed an extensive practice with business clients as a voice and performance coach with a focus on qualitatively rich, spontaneous interpersonal communication that accurately carries thought-feeling impulses. She also privately coaches individual actors, and has delivered workshops for the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble, Sport for Jove, and Women in Theatre and Screen in Sydney. Chris will complete a Masters of Dramaturgy at VCA in 2021, and was recently dramaturg and language coach for Theresa Borg’s Jump!

Chris was part of the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble from 2001-2015 as a core ensemble member, facilitator, teacher, committee member and director, performing in As You Like ItCoriolanusPericlesThe Madness of King LearMetamorphoses, and Half-hour Hamlet, and directing Schiller’s Mary Stuart. She completed the Shakespeare and Company Winter Intensive in 2008 as an actor and in 2011 as a teacher trainee.

Originally a movement and physical theatre performer, she performed with Frank Productions (OzFrank) from 1993-1997, in Zen Zen Zo’s 1996 Unleashed, and in collaborations with choreographer Lisa O’Neill. Other theatre credits include an internship on Tolstoy’s The Power of Darkness at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, language coach and Assistant Director on Bell Shakespeare/QTC The Alchemist, directing readings of 12 Angry Men and A Man for All Seasons for Qld Law Week, and performances for Grin and Tonic, Queensland Theatre Company, Livewire, and Fractal Theatre. She is a former member of Ausdance and a proud member of MEAA.
