Alice Bologna

Alice is born in Tuscany and currently based in Paris and she is active in Italy and France.
She met Linklater technique in 2006 at the International Acting School of Rome, where she graduated in 2008, studying with Margarete Assmuth.

Since then she has continued studying with Kristin Linklater over the years and has been practicing Linklater technique, voice work and body work (Body-mind Centering, Feldenkrais) with several teachers including Alessandro Fabrizi, Andrea Haring, Susan Main, Natsuko Ohama, Merry Conway, Gloria Desideri.

Alice has a background in Liberal Arts and holds a degree in Literature, Music and Performing Arts from La Sapienza University of Rome and a Master 2 in tudes thtrales from Paris 8 University with a graduation work on Linklater Method.
She also investigated the relationship between voice, language and inner world of an actor performing in a second language by a Master degree in Pedagogy of Italian as a Second Language (Foreigners University of Siena), with an experimental thesis on improving the emotional connection of the voice through elements of Sensory Theatre and Linklater technique.

Besides her work as a teacher, she studies and researches italian folk singing and dances and Sensory Theatre (Diploma of 1st level in Poetic of Sensory Theatre from Teatro de Los Sentidos of Enrique Vargas).

As actress she has participated at several productions including Dedalus, from James Joyce, Cantiere d'Arte Internazionale di Montepulciano, Riz-au-Lait, Riverbed Theatre of Taiwan, Madrigale appena narrabile, director Chiara Guidi (Raffaello Sanzio Societas), Too much in the Sun, Unplugged Theatre Festival, Stromboli.

Her article The chicken and the egg, olive oil and the olive: side-processes in a psycho-physical approach to the voice has been published by the international academic publication Acting Archives coordinated by L'Orientale University of Naples, in its issue dedicated to the Linklater Method (year III, no. 5)
