    Applause!

I'm nearly 50 now, have been a professional voice-over artist for more than 20 years and have enjoyed significant success, working globally via ISDN from my own studio.  Inevitably, I became a victim of my own sucess, working up to 10 hours a day, Monday to Friday. I worked to hard for too long, and my voice gave up.  I was diagnosed with muscle tension dysphonia and mild spasmodic dysphonia. The onset of lower back pain and a frozen sacroiliac joint in 2011 had apparently turned off my lower abdominal muscles and in turn affected my diaphragm and breathing, which caused the MTD.  I searched out the finest speech specialists in the world, from Harley Street to Florida - tried many therapies (from total voice rest, laryngeal physio, bio feedback, speech therapy, Alexander technique, CBT, Pilaties, Meditation and even Bach Flower Remedies!)...with little or no effect.

After working with Kristin for a week I've been opened up to the marvellous possibilities of reverberating again.  Back in the studio now I'm confident that I can plug myself into a resonant mind and it's already paying dividends in the way I approach my day and my work. The difference is remarkable when I hear myself during the editing process - long-lost frequencies are making an appearance and contributing a richness to my sound. The thing is not to listen too hard during a recording, but to commit to the sigh and the mind belly. I'll get there.  Meanwhile thanks to Kristin for the good vibrations and I'll definitely be back for more... Sarah Parnell

In just four days I have changed shape, inside and out.  My voice feels and sounds stronger and more me, mine.  I feel I have learned to speak from my heart. J.B. - Orkney

I have loved the journey to Orkney, and travelling the distance has opened up possibilities for an inner journey.  Nothing beats looking down to the Hole o' Rowe as the breakers crash round it.  Thank you, Kristin, for your seemingly endless generosity and fierce observation.  Thank you Ruth, Yvonne, Rena, Barbara - every need has been cared for and if I'd arrived naked I suspect I would have been clothed in seconds.  B.J. - London
