BIOGRAPHY

Heather is an independent performer, voice artist, director, writer, Designated Linklater Teacher and the Artistic Director of the Sirius Theatrical Company. As a professional performer she has worked across Canada in regional theatre and summer stock companies as well as in film, television and commercials. She has also done voice over work and is developing an audiobook career.

As a coach she works with actors, speakers, storytellers, singers and presenters on voice and acting technique as well as text.  Currently, she coaches privately occasionally offering small group workshops or intensives.  

Clients include:  the Sirius Theatrical Co. (Voice & Acting Workshops, Private Coaching & Show Coaching - 25+ years); Shakespeare By The Sea Festival, St. John’s, Newfoundland (Linklater Training & Show Coaching); The LEAR Project with the Peterborough Theatre Guild (Voice Workshop & Shakespeare Text Work), the York Storytelling Guild (Voice Workshop), Ryerson University (Toronto - Monologues), The New School of Drama (Acting), and Theatre Ontario's Adult Summer Training Program (4 years - Comedy & Acting) as well as many community theatres (Voice & Comedy).  

When not performing in film, television, commercials or voice projects, Heather acts and directs for the stage revelling in the moment-to-moment interaction with an audience that is an essential part of this medium.  She and the Sirius Theatrical Company have received several major cultural grants between 2008 and 2015 to create and produce three large scale multi-generational, multi-cultural, multi-media productions in Toronto.

Heather is a published short story writer, a dramaturge and a professionally produced playwright.
