GET IN TOUCH WITH GWENDOLYN
Gwendolyn Schwinke, MFA, teaches Acting, Voice and Speech in the BFA program at Coastal Carolina University. She has taught voice, movement and/or acting for numerous institutions including CAP-21, Binghamton University, Shakespeare and Company, University of Northern Iowa, Macalester College, St. Olaf College, Illinois Wesleyan University and The Guthrie Theater. Gwendolyn is a Certified Feldenkrais Movement Teacher and has taught Feldenkrais in professional theatres, universities, fitness centers, senior centers and continuing education programs in the US and Czech Republic. Her work as a voice or dialect coach has been heard at Oxford Shakespeare Festival (Mississippi), Frank Theatre, Cheap Theatre (Minneapolis) and in multiple university productions.
Gwendolyn has worked in professional theatre for over 20 years and is a member of Actors Equity. As an actor, she has performed with theatres including Red Eye Collaboration, Carlyle Brown & Company, Frank Theatre, The Playwrights Center, Old Creamery Theatre, Oxford Shakespeare Festival, Pulse Ensemble Theatre and Atlantic Stage. She has directed professionally for venues including Atlantic Stage in Myrtle Beach, The Playwrights Center and The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Her work as a playwright has been produced or developed by Red Eye Collaboration, The Seattle Repertory Company and off-Broadways Cherry Lane Theatre among many others.
